Up and coming

I am hoping to be making two orders for some makeup online. One order being off the 'elf' website and I am going to be ordering some makeup products and so on from there. Also, an order off 'MUA makeup academy' which I'll also be ordering some makeup products off it. Once I receive them I will be doing a haul related video on my you tube channel and also be doing a full review after trying out some of the products myself, which will include pictures, descriptions and prices also. So, keep an eye out if you're interested.

Thanks guys :) xox

New mascara review

Hey guys! So recently I purchased a new mascara as I wanted to try something new. It's the collection 2000 Magi length mascara. I got it in black and this is what it looks like. Now, I know you can buy this in shops but I couldn't find it any where I went and I really wanted this. So, I went on amazon and found it! It was £3.99, i'm unsure of the prices at shops but I thought this was a great price. I'll pop the link below for anyone who wants to check it out. Now I loved the packaging of this item, it's fun and I really liked it. But the main thing is how it works. When I first used this I was amazed at what it does to my lashes, Now I normally go for volume based mascaras and then a lengthening one on top but this one seem to does both. It made my lashes look great and full and I loved the look.
Before starting to use this mascara I was using a Maybelline volume (unsure of which one) and the loriel telescopic mascara both together, but I have found with this one I don't have to use two, just this one which is great. I've posted a picture of the brush because I know some girls only like certain brushes and things like that. But I really recommend this to someone who is looking for great lashes at a affordable price.

Avon order and small review

So, recently I made an order with my local Avon and ordered some things I fancied. I have also previously made another order in which I won't go into much detail but I will mention at the end. This time, I ordered 5 things, now I didn't choose which things I ordered, I ordered what was called a 'bargain bag' in which you receive a bag of 5 things which are all worth a total of £25.00 but you only pay £8. Now I thought this was interesting and I wanted to maybe try new things and who doesn't like a surprise? So, when my order arrived, I opened the bag to these 5 items.

Firstly I got a corrector palette, now this is part of a separate range Avon do (not sure of the name) But its just a corrector palette which has a few different colour shades (purple, skin coloured etc) Now, I am a little confused about how to use this product, I know it's alike a concealer but still I'm confused! ha. I'm going to research how to use the colours and on which part of the face etc and then I can elaborate more.
Secondly, I received a glimerstick eye liner, in the shade 'bronze' now when I first opened this, I wasn't really impressed as it's in a bronze colour and with my own eyeliners I tend to go for the colour black. BUT after using it and trying it out, I liked how it looked on my eyes and it wasn't as bad as I thought. So overall, a nice addition to the bag.

I also received a colour trend double ended eye liner, one end being green and the other black. Now, In the Avon book the brand 'colour trend' is the cheapest brand they have in there at really affordable prices and is mainly aimed at people who are looking to try out new shades and things without paying so much. So I was happy I got this in the bag as I have wanted to try different colours for a while and although green is maybe the most daring colour, I still can't wait to try it out. The black is just what I normally go for, but the actual eye liner itself goes on smoothly and lasts a long time on the eye. So overall, this was very good and would recommend this to someone who wants to try a new shade but also with the back up of a black.
Also, from colour trend I received a nail varnish, I have no idea what the shade is (god im so bad at this) but i think it's called 'serine' but don't hold me to that! Now I tried this colour straight away as I love purple colours. When I applied it, it went on really well and smoothly and didn't smudge leaves bumps on my nails. I also added a glitter top coat which looks amazing!! So overall, I am very happy with this varnish and may purchase some more colours to experiment with.

Lastly, the most exciting item in the bag...A lipstick! (As you may have already noticed I enjoy lipsticks) I have only recently started using lipsticks, I have always been a lipgloss kinda girl but after previously buying some colour trend lipsticks in red and nude I really liked how awake and alive they made my face look even full of makeup. So, when this better brand from avon came in the bag I was very pleased.
It's the shade 'pink pop' and it looks like this (above) ALSO! look at my nails, thats the purple nail varnish with a glitter top coat. Anyway, The packaging of this lipstick is really nice, black with Avon logo (Obviously) but I loved it. The actual lipstick and shade itself is a light pink but also has a slight shimmer added so makes your lips sort of 'glow' when applied, which is good for summer/night time events etc. Overall I am really happy with the quality of this lipstick and I hope (fingers crossed) that they still sell these as I am very excited to try out more shades as I really was happy with this item.

So overall, I think that's all but I said I would mention some bits from my other Avon order, Now as I have mentioned I ordered two colour trend lipsticks, one being the shade 'poppy red' and the other being 'flirt' I ordered these as I just wanted to experiment with lipstick and some colours and although they was cheap purchases, I loved them! The colours made my face look more alive after applying them so I recommended to anyone looking to improve or change their look to find a shade of lipstick that goes with their skin tone and experiment! I also bought some conditioning balm for my hair from the 'naturals' collection, but as of now I have not had much luck with this as my hair and leave in conditioners don't really like each other so i'm thinking of maybe using that just as I normal conditioner. I also purchased a blemish clearing bottle liquid which you apply to cotton wool and clean your face and I have found this to work really well, so if you suffer from outbreaks and redness, I would defiantly try this out.

So, that's all for now. I hope this helps and you enjoyed reading it. see you guys! xox

Dainty doll by Nicola Roberts

Hello again! So, recently I purchased the 'dainty doll' range by Nicola Roberts. Now the positive thing about this purchase is that it only cost me around £15 (inlcuding p&p) for ALL of the items! AMAZING! I bought them off amazon.co.uk after seeing a blogger off instagram say how much she loved them. The items varied in price, some costing more than others, but for 6 items, paying £15 is just soo amazing. I'll link the site below this post and also if you're thinking of buying them, make sure you buy them from the same seller so that your postage and package doesn't cost more than what you actually buy. I bought mine from the seller 'onlinemakeupstore' and what I found after adding the items to my basket a few days before I bought them was some items were sold out of colours etc so make sure you have all what you want in shades and so on before you checkout. So firstly I'll do a small description of each item I purchased, including what colour/shade I got it in and also what I first thought when receiving them. So here we go...

(Apologies in advance for the bad quality on the following pictures, just wanted close ups for you all)
Firstly, I purchased the dainty doll liquid foundation. This cost me around £2.50 (again, amazing!) I got it in the shade 'dark' as Nicola Roberts line is mostly aimed at pale skinned people and as I'm not really that pale, I got dark. My first impressions after opening my purchases was the packaging, how cute is it?! I think it's so simple but with a big impact on how you feel about the makeup and the quality of the item you have bought. Also, the actual foundation packaging itself is simple but still cute and 'nice to look it' and also, it's a pump! I was so happy when I figured this out as I hate foundations you have to pour all over your hand. After using this a few times, my first impressions are good. It's a good shade for my skin colour and hasn't made my skin dry/breakout as of yet. It covers well and you only need a little to go a long way! I highly recommend this product to someone who is looking to discover new makeup at affordable prices. Overall, I am very happy with the foundation.

Secondly I bought the dainty doll concealer palette. I got this in a lighter shade to the foundation as I like using lighter shades to cover blemishes and dark circles. I got this for around £1.99. Now, again I love the packaging it comes in and the actual palette itself is very sturdy and good quality. I got this instead of the concealer pen from the range as I enjoy using a brush to apply my concealer. I haven't used this alot yet as im still going through an old concealer but from testing it, it covered well and did the job it needed to do. So overall very happy with this concealer. (Also, the mirror comes in handy too!)

Next, I got the dainty doll blusher. I got this in the shade 'My girl' as I like pink blushes and I loved the look of this one. It costs me around £2 maybe, I can't remember (sorry)! But, I have used this a few times, and it's very pigmented, which is good. So you only need a little to do alot (alike the foundation) From my experience, it awakened my face and made it shimmer alot which was great in the sunlight etc. But overall I am very happy with this blusher and again, the mirror is good for handbag makeup etc. They also did other shades, mostly nudes/paler shades but I chose the pink as that's my usual shade I go for.

Now for my most exiting purchase, lipstick! I got 3 lipsticks as they were £1.99 each and I thought that was amazing and especially for the quality you get. The first shade I got (far left) was called 'it's my party' and it's a pink shade, not to bright but not to nude. I haven't really used this one alot but from first impressions it's great for blonde people with darker skin but that's only my opinion. I think it looks ok on my lips but I'm not really used to the 'out there' look so maybe i'll have to experiment more with this colour.
The next shade is my favorite. It's called 'saucy sailor'. It's not a bright red, more dark but still great. I wear this all the time since buying it as I love it so much (wearing it in my picture from last post) I love it.
Lastly, is the darker red/purple shade. Which is called couture. I haven't wore this one yet, so I'm not in the place to comment on it so once I do, i'll make a individual review of this colour and tell you what I think.

Hope this post helps guys! I really recommend you check out the dainty doll collection as its good quality and very affordable.

About myself and what I am about

Hello guys! So, my names Emily Scholes. I am 17 years old (Birthday is the 4th May!) and uh, already can't think of things to say about myself...oops. I live in Manchester (UK duh!) in a small place called Shaw. Boring and full of old people but it's my home for now. I look like that (above pictures) I have short brown hair and brown eyes. I am chubby (mentioning this before someone else does) and shy! perfect combination I know although I am fun once you get to know me. I am in a relationship (long term) with my boyfriend Reece, I am mentioning him because I can guarantee I will mention him again. I enjoy beauty and all things makeup etc...Also, I am not your typical beauty blogger who has all the money in the world somehow and buys all the high end stuff. I am the girl who enjoys makeup but not that much to be spending alot of money on it, so the products I post will be good (Obviously) but affordable, so I am hoping this helps other people who want more affordable things too. Although I am new to this sort of thing (blogs and things) I am hoping I can help people (not many) who read this with my reviews, pictures, descriptions and so on about some products I have purchased and used. As I said, I am new to this so please don't be mean!! Also may I add, I am not doing this for any other reason other than I enjoy it and would like to share my thoughts. I don't want this blog to be all about makeup so any other things I come across which I think may be interesting I'll also add. So, here I go, enjoy! xo

By the way guys, I have other blogs/social networks you may want to follow so i'll put them underneath. Thanks again!
